Mary S. O'Shaughnessey

B.A. in Speech and Hearing Therapy, Ohio State University; M.Sc. in Speech Pathology and MHSA from University of Michigan Ann Arbor; CCC-A; Doctoral Candidate in Health Administration, Central Michigan University.

University of Detroit Mercy – appointed Chair in 2006, Assistant Professor, Health Services Administration Program since 2003; Director of Community Partnerships, Director of Partnership for Training from 1999 -2003; Mercy Hospital, Director of Rehabilitation, Detroit 1997-98; St. Joseph Health System, GNA Associates, Service Area Manager and Consultant 1994- 99; Veterans Administration Medical Center, Ann Arbor, MI, Administrative Officer for Ambulatory Care 1992-94; Various clinical and supervisory positions in speech pathology and audiology at the Veterans Administration Medical Center and other hospitals.

Mrs. O’Shaughnessey’s professional activities include Chair, Student Activities Committee of the Michigan Healthcare Executives Group and Associates, member of the MHEGA Executive Board, member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association. Recent publications include a chapter in Health Organizations, Theory, Behavior and Development (2008) edited by Dr. James J. Johnson.
