Gene Michalski is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Office of Beaumont Hospitals since June 2006.  Mr. Michalski previously held the position of Senior Vice President and Hospital Director of Beaumont-Troy from 1997 to 2006.  He received his BS in Biology, MS in Physiology and MBA in Finance from Wayne State University.  From 1992 to 1996, Mr. Michalski held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Saint Francis Hospital, Evanston, Illinois.  Prior to 1992, Mr. Michalski held the following positions at Beaumont; Senior Associate Hospital Director, 1988; Associate Hospital Director, 1983; Assistant Hospital Director, 1980; and Administrative, 1978. 

Mr. Michalski’s professional activities include past President Elect on the Evanston Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, past member of the Board of Directors of Evanston Inventure, and he was a member of the Northern Illinois Business Association.  He is the past president of the Board of Directors, Oakland County EMS Medical Control Authority and the Americana Cancer Society, Oakland County Chapter.  He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the American Health Association and the past president of the Midwest Healthcare Executive Group and Associates.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
