Joined Ernst & Ernst, which became Ernst & Whinney, Ernst & Young. The entire consulting practice of Ernst & Young was sold to Cap Gemini in 2000, and in 2005 the North American Healthcare Practice to Accenture. Stan has been a partner in the same healthcare consulting practice, with several different names. He is a fellow in both HFMA and ACHE. He also has been a board member of the Southeast Michigan Chapter of American Red Cross for several years serving several different roles.

Stan and his wife Nancy have 2 sons and a daugther-in-law.
