2009
  • The 2009 ACHE Regent Awards were announced at the June 25, 2009, MHA Meeting on Mackinac Island by Joseph M. Tasse, FACHE, ACHE Regent for MIchigan, President of St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital. Click on the document below to see the Award Winners.

  • MHEGA earns the ACHE's Award of Chapter Distinction; awarded for membership growth and member satisfaction. The certificate of accomplishment was presented at the Chapters Leaders Reception, in March 2009, during the annual Congress on Healthcare Leadership., in Chicago, IL.

  • The Midwest Healthcare Executives Group and Associates held their first networking event, Hosted by the firm of Hall Render Killian Health & Lyman on Thursday, March 19, 2009, in Troy, Michigan. Approximately 42 people attended the networking event.
 
2008
  • Michigan Healthcare Executive Group and Associates changes name to Midwest Healthcare Executives Group and Associates, encompassing ACHE members from Northwestern Ohio.
  • Thomas C. Dolan, PhD, FACHE, CAE, President and Chief Executive Officer of ACHE, announced that MHEGA had received ACHE”s Award of Chapter Merit for achieving one of three award performance standards. MHEGA, as well as other winning chapters, were highlighted and recognized for their achievements at the Congress of Healthcare Leadership in Chicago. MHEGA also received a certificate in recognition of this honor during the Chapter Leaders Reception, held on March 11 2008.

2004
  • At the 2004 ACHE Congress meeting in Chicago, MHEGA was recognized as the Chapter of the Year. ACHE established the award in 1993 to recognize outstanding contributions to ACHE and the healthcare field by ACHE's officially designated healthcare executive groups. MHEGA was evaluated on its innovative approach to serving members, quality of programs offered, and promoting ACHE membership and advancement.
 
2002
  • In January 2002, SEMHEF was revitalized and transformed into Michigan Healthcare Executives Group and Associates (MHEGA). As a local chapter of ACHE, the Regent's Advisory Council has become the leadership board of this group.
 
1984
  • The Southeastern Michigan Health Executive Forum (SEMHEF) was established in 1984.
